Mississippi launches the Mississippi Healthy Marriage Initiative to help married couples, engaged couples, singles, step families and grandparents in their relationships.
This proactive initiative is run by Mississippi State University Extension Service.
According to Tabitha Staier, assistant extension professor in family education and policy at Mississippi State University, it “really aims to support and encourage two-parent, married families due to the overwhelming amount of research that’s in the social science field that indicates…healthy marriages tend to have benefits for both adults and children.”
